We used the function room upstairs as a venue for my son's christening. All the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the organising of the event was easy with Sophie who was so helpful, flexible and knowledgeable. The buffet provided was delicious and presented beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend the Cornerhouse as a venue for your event.

Play your own music over our in-house sound system or hire a DJ or band for the dedicated dancefloor. Decorate the room as you wish or simply switch on our ceiling of fairy lights. We’re a 5 minute walk from Chester Train Station and moments away from the many accommodation options of City Road.

(We don’t work every day so won’t always reply straight away, but we will get back to you.) We also have a free-to-hire function room across the road at our sister bar, The Cellar which may be available on your chosen date, even if The Cornerhouse isn’t.

Please note: we do not host children’s parties, 18ths - 21sts, baby showers, gender reveals, stag or hen parties. Please also note that we are only able to offer a free-to-hire venue by ensuring that the parties we book are profitable, and any booking enquiry may be discounted on that basis.
